Art lovers will want to head up into the mountains for the Plein Air event in vintage, picturesque, Georgetown on Saturday, July 26, 2025. A charming town of colorful Victorian buildings ringed by mountain views, Georgetown has long been a favorite of artists, who will be painting outdoors over the weekend (6 a.m. to 4 p.m.) throughout town and the Georgetown-Silver Plume Historic District.
To see many of the artists at once, check out the Quick Draw on 6th Street from 10 a.m. to noon. Artists congregate on 6th street to produce works of art within a set period of time.
Enjoy live music on the Library Park Stage from noon to 3:30 p.m.
Festivities continue into the night at the Plein Air gallery opening and reception at the restored Old School Gallery starting at 5 p.m.
The reception, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. is FREE and open to the public and provides an opportunity to meet the artists and view and purchase completed works.
All artworks are will remain on display and available for sale in the two weeks following the event.
