Save $10 on Valentine’s Day Chocolates and Flowers in One Stop

POSTED BY
Bryan

Hey, bargain-loving cupids! You can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14, 2025 without a greeting card, a box of chocolates and bouquet of flowers for your sweetheart, right? And you can check two of the items off your Valentine’s Day to-do list with one shopping trip at Safeway — the box of chocolates and flowers. Loveliest of all, your sweetie won’t even know you didn’t pay full price. However, they probably already know you’re a bargain hunter!

Safeway is running two different deals for Valentine’s Day — one on chocolates and another on flowers.

Box of Chocolates Deal

Through February 14, 2025, Safeway is offering $5 off a heart-shaped box of chocolates from Russel Stover or Whitman’s (10- to 30.19-oz.)

The offer requires a digital coupon that you must download to your Safeway loyalty account. Find the coupon under “Cookies, Snacks & Candy”.

Sweetest of all, you can use the coupon as many times as you want. So, you could pick up a box for your sweetheart, your Mom (or Dad), your grandparents or anyone you want to share a little love with on Valentine’s Day.

Flowers Deal

Through February 14, 2025, when you buy any two participating items from American Greetings, Lindt, Ferrero and/or Russell Stover at Safeway, get $5 off flowers.

The American Greetings items must each be priced $2.99 or higher. The seasonal chocolate items tagged on shelf in seasonal candy aisle qualify for the promotion.

Because these type of promotions includes so many items, it can be tricky figuring out which items qualify for the discount. If you’re unsure, ask an employee or manager for assistance.

Use Both Deals at the Same Time for Chocolates, Greeting Card and Flowers

Because Russell Stover is included in both promotions. You could potentially “double-dip”, as bargain hunters like to say.

Buy a box of Russell Stover chocolates and an American Greetings Valentine’s Day card to trigger the flowers deal. As a result, you could get all three traditional Valentine’s Day gifts (chocolates, a greeting card and flowers) all in one stop at a $10 discount — $5 off the box of chocolates and $5 off the flowers.

Or you could buy two boxes of chocolates and flowers for a total savings of $15 — $10 on the two boxes of chocolates and $5 on the flowers.

MHOTC Tip: If you don’t see the discount reflected at check out, stop the transaction and ask about the promotion. It’s much easier to address any potential issues right at check out rather than trying to get the discount after you’ve paid. You may simply have the wrong items or maybe there’s an issue with the system.
