The Central City Opera, Colorado’s boutique summer opera festival now in its 85th year, reprises its Take a Child to the Opera day with an affordable matinee performance of “Carmen” on Tuesday, August 1 beginning at 2:30 p.m. It includes a narrator’s preview and an autograph session with the company’s young Apprentice Artists. Seats are $20 each but there is a possibility that they might increase in price with demand (click here to purchase tickets) and here for the optional $10 Take a Child to the Opera pre-performance family fun activities, including interactive opera games starting at 11:30 a.m. There’s FREE surface lot at Nevada St. around the corner from the opera house.
