Grand opening celebrations are so sweet! Sweetgreen is opening its fifth Denver-based location on September 5, 2023 in University Hills (2770 S. Colorado Blvd.) The restaurant’s mission is “Building healthier communities by connecting people to real food.” Customers can expect lots of “fresh, plant-forward, earth friendly food” on the menu.

On September 5, 2023, Sweetgreen will host a ribbon cutting ceremony with The South Metro Denver Chamber at 10 a.m.
From 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., customers can enjoy in-store giveaways of Sweetgreen swag and goodies by local partners from the University Hills Farmers Market, including sweet treats by Danielle’s Delicious Bites, a coffee cart by Propagate Coffee and a floral bar by Sand Florals. The giveaways are available while supplies last. Plus, enjoy live music from Tim Ostdiek.
Sweetgreen has also partnered with Triboro, the Brooklyn-based design duo of David Heasty and Stefanie Weigler, for a series of 12 posters highlighting the brand’s seasonal fruit and veggie offerings.
For every meal sold on opening day, Sweetgreen will donate a meal to the Market at Integrated Family Community Services to nourish those experiencing food insecurity in South Metro Denver.
The 2,258 square foot location accommodates 22 diners inside and 16 diners outside on the restaurant’s patio. Store hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
