Side Stories 2022 Brings Cinematic Art To RiNo Building Walls

POSTED BY
Laura

Side Stories is an immersive, large-format outdoor film installation festival that will bring five exterior walls to life for 10 winter nights in RiNo Art District, from February 11 to 20, 2022. Five commissioned artists received a $5,000 grant to create a site-specific, five-minute film loop within this year’s theme of Love Stories.

This is an opportunity to explore love stories in the traditional and non-traditional senses, exploring the ways that love keeps us going and the interactions between art and love. Film genres include live action, documentary, historical, motion graphics, animation, and experimental.

These films will collectively create a one-of-a-kind immersive, FREE walkable art experience through the neighborhood, with films projected on walls from 28th and Walnut to 33rd and Larimer Streets.

An interactive map, audio tour and other surprises will encourage people to view each installation while enjoying special offers from local businesses to stop for a warm drink, grab a bite or shop along the way.

You can find a map of the projection sites here.
