Here we go again, bargain hunters! Safeway closed 10 locations across Colorado last November. And, unfortunately, the grocery store is closing the doors on yet another location. This time, the store affected is in Arvada at 7561 W. 80th Ave. The closing sale is not underway, so get your list ready and stock up!

When Will The Store Close?
This location is officially closing on November 14, 2o26 — possibly sooner, if the shelves are cleared out sooner than expected.

Close Out Sale
Our MHOTC investigative team visited the location on October 15, 2026 and the shelves are very full — 95%+ stocked.
Currently, the store hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours may vary by location.
Milk and fluid dairy are exempt for any closeout discounts. Discounts do not apply to Money Grams, lottery, Rug Doctor, propane, postage stamps, bus passes and gift cards.

MHOTC Tip: At the start of any closeout sale, the discounts aren’t great by most bargain hunters’ standards. The savings really kick in at 50% off storewide and are the best at 75% off or more.
However, the downside is that the selection gets smaller with each passing day. It pays to watch the sale closely and wait until the prices drop to what you consider is a good deal. That’s the time to make a special trip and fill up your cart.
Based on our experience, we expect the discounts to be really good by late October or early November. We plan on updating the post as best we can — if our team is able to verify any increases in the percentage off.
