The Ruby Hill Rail Yard, Denver’s immensely popular urban terrain park, is back for another winter. It is open through mid-March, as long as the weather cooperates. Ten rails and boxes are configured for beginning, intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders. Helmets are strongly suggested. Access is FREE to the facility.
While many folks bring their own gear, if you don’t have any and want to give it a go, beginning February 9, 2023, Denver Parks and Recreation will be providing FREE rental equipment — snowboards, boots and helmets — on Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Rail Yard is open during regular park hours (5 a.m. until 11 p.m.), with lights illuminating the yard from dusk until 9 p.m.
At W. Florida Ave. & S. Platte River Dr., Denver.
