The Ruby Hill Rail Yard, Denver’s immensely popular urban terrain park, is back for another winter. You can ski or board in the heart of the city for FREE! It’s open through mid-March, as long as the weather cooperates. Rails, boxes, and features include varying configurations for beginning, intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders.

While many folks bring their own gear, if you don’t have any and want to give it a go, rental equipment is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The rail yard will also host free events throughout the season, including the Steel Lovers Rail Jam on February 14.
The Rail Yard is open daily during regular park hours (5 a.m. until 11 p.m.).
Note: Lighting in the Rail Yard is currently out of service due to site electrical repairs; it is not advised to ride, ski or sled after dark and doing so is at your own risk. Volunteers will be present during the lighted hours for upkeep the park and assist visitors.
Weather permitting the yard will be open until March.
The Ruby Hill Rail Yard was created in 2007 as a joint effort between Denver Parks & Rec and Winter Park Resort to offer a winter sport experience in an urban setting. Winter Park provides the technical experience of rail park design and Denver manages the park.
At W. Florida Ave. & S. Platte River Dr., Denver.
