Live Dance On Stage! Reformation Dance Company Presents “Strangely Beautiful”

POSTED BY
Laura

Finally! Live dance returns to the stage when Reformation Dance Company presents “Strangely Beautiful” on Saturday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood Cultural Center. This is an original and contemporary take on classical ballet that will get you to think of dance in a truly unique way.

The full length, originally conceived and choreographed contemporary ballet, Strangely Beautiful explores how people perceive beauty. The evening’s second act features pieces to music by Patti Smith and a new work by Kelly Demelio.

This company features top-flight dancers, two of whom MHOTC’s Laura knows personally.

See these dancers perform with athleticism, quirkiness and grace with dazzling technicality. If you have never been to a dance performance, this will make you a lover for life.

Tickets are $3o. Yes, we know this is a bit high for MHOTC. Like many performing arts spaces, the Lakewood Cultural Center can only sell a fraction of its seats to maintain social distancing, so prices remain a bit higher than normal.

But, this performance is also almost two hours total, so may be worth the splurge.

You can buy tickets here. Be sure to buy soon, if this show is of interest, because seating is limited.
