Recycle Backpacks & School Supplies at Staples for Bonus Savings

POSTED BY
Bryan

Now that school’s over and summer’s officially here, it might be time to do a little cleaning up of last year’s school gear and supplies. Rather than just throwing them away, families can put them to good use by recycling them at Staples. And, in return, Staples will give them a special discount to use on buying new supplies for the home, office or school.

Staples just introduced its first backpack and school supply recycling program, adding to the list of already expansive products accepted within its FREE recycling program.

In partnership with Close The Loop, Staples is one of the only retailers in America where you can recycle your backpacks and school supplies at no cost, making a significant impact on our environment.

Backpack and School Supply Recycling Program

The following products are accepted for recycling:

Backpacks

Lunch Bags

Pencil Pouches (soft and hard case)

Writing Instruments (pens, markers, pencils, crayons, highlighters)

Rulers and Similar Items (protractors, triangles, etc. – wood, plastic, metal)

Glue Sticks and Empty Glue Bottles

Tech (calculators, headphones, ear buds, cables, USBs, etc.)

Binders (regular and zipper – paper must be removed)

Note: Sharp cutting instruments and other like items (including scissors and Xacto knives) are not accepted.

Exclusive Recycling Offers

Staples will reward customers with same day $10 off $30 in-store coupon, when they recycle their backpacks and school supplies. Exclusions apply — see coupon for complete details. Note: The coupon must be redeemed the same day, so have your shopping list ready.

Staples Easy Rewards members can also earn points each month by recycling. Check the Staples app for special offers each week and make sure to scan your Easy Rewards, when recycling to earn exclusive points.
