Meet Ferdinand the Baby Calf & See Ferdinand The Movie

If this doesn’t qualify for “oh, so cute!”, nothing will. Meet Ferdinand, a real, live baby calf, and see Ferdinand the movie at The CALF in Castle Rock. Movie Night at CALF takes place Saturday, July 21 from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Cost is $10 per person (ages 2 and over) and includes a tour of CALF’s barnyard and livestock (including baby calf, Ferdinand), FREE unlimited popcorn, nachos, lemonade, tea and water and an outdoor showing of “Ferdinand” the movie.

A S’mores kit complete with marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate will be provided to each family. Bring your blanket or lawn chairs. If you’ve never been to CALF, this is a great deal. Your kids will love the up-close and personal meet-and-greet with all the baby animals, plus you get the added attraction of food and a movie.

If you don’t know the tale of Ferdinand (adapted from a beloved children’s book), Ferdinand is a young bull who escapes from a training camp in rural Spain after his father never returns from a showdown with a matador.

Adopted by a girl who lives on a farm, Ferdinand’s peaceful existence comes crashing down when the authorities return him to his former captors. With help from a wisecracking goat and three hedgehogs, the giant but gentle bovine must find a way to break free before he squares off against El Primero, the famous bullfighter who never loses.

Events at CALF sell out quickly, so we encourage you to buy your tickets now. 2330 S. Interstate 25, Castle Rock.
