Kids Can Play Away at Pop-Up FreeRange Playground

POSTED BY
Laura

kids-party-funFreeRange Playground introduces Denver kids to child-led, free play with recycled materials, allowing their natural curiosity and sense of adventure to unfold. Montessori School of Denver hosts a FREE pop-up adventure playground open to the kiddos on Sunday, October 1 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

There’s a play area for supervised, child-led, parent-free play with re-purposed and recycled materials for kids ages 12 and younger. The pop-up playground incorporates PVC pipes, cardboard boxes, tires, plastic crates, burlap sacks, bike tires, yarn, computer parts, foam pieces, zip ties and so much more.

As a parent, you know your children and their comfort level. If you decide that your children need more support and want to stay with a parent, they will need to engage in other activities onsite. FreeRange Playground will remain parent-free.

Parents must check-in at the registration table before children can enter the space. There will be a first aid kit onsite should any scrapes or bruises occur.

Boyer’s Coffee is donating a Boulder Organic Coffee station. Bathrooms will be available throughout.

Parents must remain on-site for the duration of their child’s play, but are free to visit nearby vendors and picnic sites. Should the playground reach capacity, organizers will set up a rolling wait list to allow as many children to play as possible.

Please park on the street or in MSD’s dedicated parking lot or on nearby streets. Should the weather be nasty, the event will move indoors. 1460 S. Holly St., Denver.
