The annual Buffalo Bill Days festival brings rootin’ tootin’ FREE Wild West fun to Golden, July 24 to 26, 2026. The weekend includes western-style entertainment, Best of the West Parade, arts and crafts festival, children’s activities and live concerts by local bands filling Golden’s downtown streets.

The festival officially opens at 5 p.m. on Friday in Parfet Park (710 Tenth St.) with a performance by Jeff Goodwin and Band, followed by Hillbilly Demons at 7 p.m.
Red Rock Vixens headlines Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Long Run wraps things up on Sunday starting at 2 p.m.
This year’s Best of the West Parade steps off on Saturday at 10 a.m. at 9th & Washington. The parade boasts more than 70 horses, plus collectible cars, creative floats, fire and emergency vehicles, and several local performing groups.
It lasts about an hour. Arrive early for the best viewing. Keep in mind that parking will be challenging and Washington Ave. will be closed for the parade.

Friday festivities are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Weekend hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Drive to a satellite lot and take the FREE SHUTTLE.
Park conveniently and free of charge at the Jefferson County Human Services building, (900 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, 80401) and hop on the free, dedicated shuttle right to the entrance of the event. Shuttles run on the following schedule:
- Friday: 4:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
NEW! SATURDAY, July 25 only
Park for free at the City lot near Holidaily Brewing and take the free shuttle right to the event. Shuttles run from this location on Saturday only.
Ride the RTD W Line to the Jefferson County Government Center/Golden Station and hop on the FREE Ore Cart shuttle, (Tungsten Route).
NOTE: The Ore Cart does not run for the duration of the event. Ore Cart shuttles run until 6:30 p.m. on Friday and until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays.
