Ready for a vacation? Check out the Denver Travel Festival, where your adventure awaits on Saturday & Sunday, October 27 & 28. This event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the National Western Complex (4655 Humboldt St., Denver). Tickets are usually $10 at the door (kids are FREE), but show organizers want you to have a day to remember and are offering MHOTC readers (plus friends and family) FREE tickets. Note that the National Western usually charges for parking.

Plan your next vacation & adventure as you discover Denver stay-cations, Colorado getaways, out-of-state and international vacations. Meet face-to-face with travel experts and counselors who can help you find that perfect holiday spot and also get the most bang for your buck.

Attend informative stage presentations (see schedule below), get show-only deals and register for prize giveaways. Prizes include:

  • 8-day safari for two in South Africa worth $8,000
  • 5-night trip for two to India with air & hotel worth up to $5,000
  • 3 nights for two at Rawah Guest Ranch
  • Gold nuggets worth $480

Schedule of stage presentations:

SATURDAY

1 p.m. — “Everything is Better by Rail” by Vacations by Rail

1:30 p.m. — “Top Ten Tips for Treasured Trips” by Cruise Holidays

2:30 p.m. — “River Cruising at its Finest” by Avalon Waterways

SUNDAY

1 p.m. — “Everything is Better by Rail” by Vacations by Rail

1:30 p.m. — “Top Ten Tips for Treasured Trips” by Cruise Holidays

2:30 p.m. — “12 Day River Cruise Holiday with Free Airfare” by Mayflower Cruises & Tours

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to get your FREE tickets.

1. Go to this website.

2. Note: Each person who registers can get up to 2 FREE tickets per show. Kids get in for free anyway, so don’t worry about them.

3. Click on “Tickets“.

4. That will take you to another page (on some systems it may appear as a pop-up) where on the top right corner it says: “Enter Promotional Code“. Click on those words. Then, in the space provided, type in the promo code MHOTCTravel and click on “Apply Code“.

5. Select quantity (remember, you get up to 2 free tickets. The system will let you choose more but, don’t be greedy.). Tickets are good for either day of the show.

6. Click on “Checkout“. Type in your fire name, last name and email address. Then click on “Complete Registration“.

Your ticket(s) will be emailed to you. You can print them out or show them at the event on your phone.

MHOTC Tip: If you have a large party, have each person or couple register separately for the tickets. Then everyone can attend for free.
