The Aurora Police Department is hosting three FREE steering wheel lock giveaway events to help reduce car theft. The department says the devices are easy to use by making it tougher for thieves to steal your car. There will be three giveaway events at 11347 E. Montview Blvd. in Aurora. You can choose whichever day works best for you to pick up a FREE steering wheel lock while supplies last.
APD will also help you sign up for Metro Track. This is a free auto theft prevention program that provides residents with GPS tracking devices and visible warning stickers to deter thieves and help locate stolen vehicles.
You can get your steering wheel lock on these three dates:
Saturday, July 25: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tuesday, July 28: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday, August 1: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Aurora Police Department said that the steering wheel lock devices are only available while supplies last. Limit is one per household and you must come in person, no asking a pal to get one for you.
