No license is required, so it’s a no-cost way for Coloradans who have never fished (or haven’t in a long time) to cast their fishing rod in our state’s beautiful lakes and rivers.
Colorado offers a diverse range of fish species to catch, including over 35 species (both warm and cold-water fish) in some of the most scenic bodies of water. Fish anywhere in 6,000 miles of streams and over 1,300 lakes and reservoirs.
CPW’s website is a river of information.
