Only 124 of our National Parks charge you to get in, but the U.S. National Park Service is waiving entrance fees to all of its 417 parks, monuments and other sites on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 18. Time to go snowshoeing, ski touring or just enjoy the frosty landscape of Rocky Mountain National Park, virtually in the metro Denver/Boulder area’s backyard.
Other FREE days in 2021 (there are six this year) are the first day of National Park Week on April 17; one year anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act on August 4; the National Park Service Birthday on August 25; National Public Lands Day on September 25 and Veterans Day on November 11.
