Fort Lupton Tomato Festival at Trapper Days on September 6

POSTED BY
Laura

Come out for one of the oldest celebrations of Colorado heritage in the state. Dating back over 100 years, Fort Lupton Tomato Festival at Trapper Days is the city’s largest celebration. The Festival is Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Other than the Parade, which marches down Denver Ave, all activities are being held at the Fort Lupton Rec Center.

There’s a pancake breakfast ($12) from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Fire Station 1.

Then, enjoy a full day of fun starting with a parade at 10 a.m. down Denver Ave., from 10th St. to 4th St., just as it was done 100 years ago.

Starting at 11 a.m., enjoy a city tour and activities at the Rec Center.

The City Tour includes Historic Fort Lancaster, St. William Church, Fort Lupton High School, Herrick Family Farms, Fort Lupton Museum and Library. Each stop has a tour, open house or demonstration.

You can drive yourself or catch the party bus. Shuttles run from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. from the Rec Center.

Other Festival highlights include a a Family Resource Fair, live entertainment, beer garden, food trucks, kids activities and games, artisan booths and a cooking contest.
