The parks are alive with the sound of music. At least that’s the hope of those organizing a Final Friday Music Walk in Cheesman Park. Musicians, non-musicians, and everyone in between are invited to gather at the park on the final Friday of each month to celebrate a mutual love of music, self expression, and community.
The next FREE gathering is Friday, August 31 at 6 p.m. If you’re a musician bring your instruments. If you like listening to music come out, relax, and bask in the beautiful sounds our city’s local musicians have to offer. Like an art walk, you can wander around sampling various styles and enjoy the ones that suit your taste.
There will be a few groups around the pavilion with all kinds of extra instruments and an open invitation to jam. Or, you can play solo — set up and play your tunes anywhere in the park. Or, you can simply listen to great tunes, let loose, and enjoy the beautiful summer evening.
