The Family Dollar store at 7150 Leetsdale Dr. (Leetsdale & Quebec) in Denver is closing. Closeout sales are one of the best ways to find lots of great deals on many popular items — all in one spot. According to a store employee, the store will close on June 20, 2026 or sooner if there is no more merchandise in the store — so likely the store will close well before that date.

A MHOTC reader reports the store is about 40 to 50% full with merchandise. Most items are discounted, but some such as soda or chips, not at all.
Employees tell us, the store was not able to sign a new lease with the property manager and the property manager did not want to renew the lease.
Additional higher priced merchandise may be brought in to sell, but the current merchandise is from this store.

As of May 25, 2026, the entire store is discounted at 20% to 50% off. The sale excludes tobacco, alcohol and gift cards. The day we visited (May 25) the store was offering an additional 10% off, so be sure to look for those signs at the front door.
There is about 25% left on the shelves, so it’s not necessarily worth a special trip to the store. However, if you live or work in the area, it might be worth a stop for bargain hunters.
We’d bet the location will close sooner than the scheduled final day of June 20 — probably in early June.
WARNING: We noticed the regular prices appeared to be inflated on select items, including socks, underwear and dish towels. As a result, the savings were negligible with the discount applied.
Always do the math first to be sure you’re truly getting a good deal. And, if you’re unhappy with a discounted price at checkout, simply have that item removed from your order — especially because all sales are final.
