Fairmount Cemetery is home to one of the largest known collections of “Old Garden Roses” in North America. Now you can get some to beautify your garden during the annual rose sale, Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. High Country Roses, grown right here in the Denver area will be available. There are scores of varieties from which to choose.

All roses at the sale are grown on their own roots, which means that they are grown directly from cuttings and not grafted onto a different rootstalk.
There are several benefits to purchasing own-root roses as compared to grafted roses which are typically sold at large retail outlets.
Look for these sought-after rose varieties – Mae Fair Pink and Beulah Blakley. The well-known Fairmount Red, JoAnn’s Pink Perpetual, Fairmount Proserpine, Fairmount Semi-double, along with many others will also be available.
Shopper will also find heirlooms, hybrid teas, miniatures, floribundas, shrubs and climbers. Look for these varieties Julia Child, Lady in Red, Morden Snow Beauty, Jeanne Lajoie and Cherry Frost along with many others.
Admittance to the rose sale is FREE, arrive early for best selection, but note that no “early birds” will be allowed in. Doors open promptly at 8:30 a.m.
The Rose Sale is inside the Chapel in the Pines. Entry is located on the Northeast side of the main office.
