The afternoon and evening shows are selling out, so get tickets now! A drive-in theater during the day? Yes, it’s possible! And you can experience it at the new pop-up drive-in in Loveland. (Don’t worry, you can still enjoy movies in the dark, too!) Billed as “a 6-week fundraiser for the Thompson Education Foundation”, the family-friendly and date-night movies are intended to serve Northern Colorado families looking for something fun to do, while still maintaining social distance. (Of course, everyone is welcome.)
Tickets are by donation from each vehicle — suggested donation of $20. (For a family of four or five, it’s definitely a bargain for an evening of fun…even more so, for the unique experience at going to the drive-in in the morning!)
All donations above the event production cost go directly to the Thompson Education Foundation.
The pop-up pops up at The Outlets at Loveland (5661 McWhinney Blvd.) in the north parking lot.
Single movie shows are offered three days a week (Friday to Sunday), three times a day: 9 a.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
There is only movie per showing. They will follow a strict policy of only allowing cars to begin entry 45 minutes prior to showtime.
The daytime movies are family-friendly (Rated G or PG), whereas the evening movies are “a little more risqué” at PG-13.
Tickets are released on Wednesday evenings, prior to the upcoming weekend. Movies change weekly.
Drive-up tickets donations will not be accepted. All reservations must be made online. Get tickets here.

And, of course, you’re all wondering, “How can they show movies in the daytime?”
Rythm EFX is providing the same LED wall technology used in event centers. Many outdoor festivals also use the technology for all day events.
Unlike video projection, LED wall is capable of competing with the sun, for this reason the Loveland Drive-In will be able to provide showings during the day!
