Learn how easy it is to make your own compost by signing up for a FREE hands-on composting class. Compost is a crumbly, nutrient rich soil amendment that is great for your plants, lawns and gardens. In partnership with Denver Recycles, Denver Urban Gardens offers free classes in composting typically on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., May 3 through October 14— with one Sunday session on April 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Each compost class is a hands-on workshop in the basics of backyard composting. You can also sign up for Worm Workshops, special classes covering vermicomposting techniques.
All workshops are FREE, but participants must register at least one week in advance. Workshops open for registration one month before each class date.
