How big can they grow? Apparently, for pumpkins, as much as one ton – that’s 2,000 pounds! See some of the ginormous gourds during the Giant Pumpkin Festival at Jared’s Nursery Gift & Garden on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The FREE event includes music, a straw maze, bounce castles (small fee), food trucks, and the famous pumpkin weigh-off, with prizes awarded to the biggest entries.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. watch the competitive Pumpkin Weighing competition. And around 3 p.m. witness the unforgettable Pumpkin Drop from a crane.
Free parking is at Light of the World Church. While the event is totally free, do think about bringing a nonperishable donation which will be given to the local food bank.
