If you’d rather not fight the hordes on Black Friday, get out into the fresh air on Friday, November 28, 2025, for a healthy post-holiday. Thanks to Colorado Parks & Wildlife, visitors receive FREE admission to any of Colorado’s state parks. During Fresh Air Friday (conditions permitting, of course, for some of these activities), try hiking, cross-country skiing, bird watching, wildlife viewing and more.

For visitors who want the best of both worlds on Friday, all retail items sold at state park visitor centers will be available at a 25% discount. This discount does not apply to ammunition, gasoline, or license, pass and registration products.
Visitors should be aware that Friday, November 28 is a state holiday and some park visitor centers may not be open or fully staffed. Enforcement personnel will be patrolling the parks but some visitor services may be limited.
