Many of us think of cemeteries as sad places, but, in reality, most are beautiful park-like spaces ideal for all sorts of joyous community gatherings. Denver’s historic Fairmount Cemetery hosts a Car Show on Sunday, August 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All types of vehicles are welcome, so feel free to bring your “ride” and show it off.
A free history tour of the cemetery is offered at 10 a.m. You can join a symbolism your at 10:30 a.m. or a women’s tour at 11 a.m. Tours begin at the Ivy Chapel and are limited to 25 people.
Food trucks will be on hand selling eats or you may bring your own food.
