Douglas County Community Celebration at Sandstone Ranch

POSTED BY
Laura

Douglas County Commissioners are opening up the preserved area of historic Sandstone Ranch (normally closed to the public) for a countywide celebration of gratitude and community spirit on Saturday, June 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The FREE event includes live bluegrass music, hikes, hayrides and more family fun. Food will be available to purchase from a variety of food trucks and vendors or you can bring a picnic.

“Together We Stand” will honor those lost and celebrate the resilience and strength of so many during this past year – including hard-working individuals and families, the business community, first responders, other public servants, and the healthcare and public health professionals from throughout Douglas County communities.

Here’s the event schedule:

Live music begins – 10 a.m.

Welcome and Commissioner remarks – 10:30 a.m.

Hayrides and hikes – throughout, following remarks

Food available for purchase – 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Attendee should bring camp chairs, picnic blankets and walking shoes. Don’t forget your water and sunscreen, but please leave glass containers, alcoholic beverages, horses and pets at home.

The event entrance is at 8309 S. Perry Park Rd., Larkspur.
