Denver Days Parade For District 2

POSTED BY
Laura

Normally a time for larger block parties, picnics and neighborhood gatherings, this year’s Denver Days is going to look different. Denver Days 2020 will stage mini-parades through each of the 11 City Council districts from August 1 to 9. This year Denver Days will feature walking celebrations of community hosted in each of the council districts.

Each event will be led by local second line style band Brothers of Brass and will feature “Love This City” artist Pat Milbery painting live on a flatbed truck.

Giveaways created by local artist Santiago Jaramillo will be awarded to random residents who post on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #DenverDays. In addition, community representatives will be featured in the celebration.

Parade routes and event schedules are posted on the Denver Days website. Parades will be held in one district each night at 6 p.m., weather permitting, and on both Sundays there will be one at noon and one at 2 p.m. You can download a document here with each parade route in detail.
