This event has been canceled for 2020. The city of Aurora turns the letter “B” into something tasty and fun with its Buskers, Brews & BBQ on Saturday, June 8 at the Aurora Municipal Center Great Lawn. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. enjoy favorite local brews, a smoking BBQ competition, concert and live entertainment from a variety of musicians and Buskers (quirky street performers).
You can get a sample directly from BBQ teams in the competition area by purchasing BBQ Bucks either in advance online or on-site. Teams compete in categories based on the type of meat they prepare — chicken, pork, ribs and brisket.
Barbecue samples are $2. In addition to the drool-worthy BBQ, Dry Dock Brewery will be serving their favorite beers throughout the event for $5 per can.
BBQ bucks will be used to purchase BBQ tastings from the BBQ teams, beer and food from the other food vendors.
Buskers will perform throughout the day with a variety of street acts such as magic, stilt walking, juggling and more. The event is FREE along with parking and activities including inflatables, a caricature artist, face painters, aerial artists and stage entertainment.
