Take a step back in time as Aurora opens DeLaney Farm to the public this summer on select Saturdays. Tour the farm for FREE from 9 a.m. to noon and enjoy special presentations and workshops including demonstrations of day-to-day life in the early 20th century. Try barrel racing at the stick rodeo and the rolling pin toss. Enjoy a story time by the Aurora Public Library and learn about Aurora’s ranching and farming history.
The historic farm is an example of homesteading (circa 1870) and includes the Gully Homestead House and DeLaney Round Barn (the only round barn still standing in Colorado). Here’s the 2019 summer schedule:
Staff and volunteers also are on hand to answer questions about the farm and its structures. 170 S. Chambers Rd. Aurora.
