2nd Saturday at The Spur

The Colorado State University Spur campus at the National Western Complex comes alive every second Saturday of the month for a day full of FREE interactive, hands-on activities that the whole family can enjoy. The next 2nd Saturday at Spur is Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This month’s theme is “Girls and Science,” and visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a host of interactive activities throughout the day.

CSU Spur is a free educational year-round public life-long learning destination in Denver focused on engaging Pre-K-12 students, families and visitors around food, water and health.

Join the Colorado State Forest Service to learn about local trees and how they impact our lives.

Get a free STEM activity box from Girls Inc. These boxes are for children six through 11 years old, with a limit of one per child and two per household.

Jam out at the CSU Spur music lab, and learn about music and audio software in a pop-up recording studio.

Play at a stream table showing the power of water and erosion.

Watch veterinarians performing live surgery on dogs and cats in the Humane Colorado Veterinary Hospital.

Explore virtual reality demonstrations on the Vida Building’s first floor.
