Denver Union Station commemorates 150 years of Colorado history with a Colorado Day Celebration on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the event will feature LoDo walking tours led by Historic Denver and a live cooking demonstration by Ultreia. Inside the Great Hall, enjoy free cultural performances by the Cleo Parker Robinson Youth Ensemble, Central City Opera, Colorado Symphony, the Denver Jazz Fest Trio and Mariachi Internacional by The Mexican Cultural Center.

Local author Katy McQuaid will be doing storytime with readings of Everybody Loves Grace in Milkbox Ice Creamery and tours of the landmark train station will also be available.
The event will be a benefit for Fire Adapted Colorado, a non-profit dedicated to supporting Colorado’s wildfire resilience professionals since 2015.

Explore the spirit of Colorado with dummy steer roping stations and Silver Buckle Hunt by The National Western and panning for gold led by Argo Mill.
The Colorado Rapids will be onsite with hands-on soccer activities, ticket giveaways and more. Channel 93.3 KTCL will also be giving aways tickets to upcoming concerts.
Rootbeer Richie Concert
Enjoy FREE live music on the Wynkoop Plaza by Colorado’s Rootbeer Richie, known for his electric live shows of soul-infused “swamp pop” inspired by Fats Domino, Ray Charles and Sam Cooke.
A Taste of Colorado
Nosh on delicious small bites made with Colorado-grown ingredients from each of the Denver Union Station restaurants and bars – including Mercantile, Ultreia, Olive & Finch, Milkbox Ice Creamery, The Cooper Lounge, Terminal Bar and Snooze, an A.M. Eatery.
Tickets are $26.25 each for adults, with $15 kids tickets available. Tickets available here.
Add on the Colorado Cocktail Trail tickets to sip Colorado-based wines, craft beers and spirits for an additional $25. Open to those 21+. Those tickets available here.
