Denver’s big Day of Rock with four stages and dozens of bands has fans of all ages rocking out on the streets of LoDo on Saturday, May 28 — and the best part: It’s all FREE. Whatever your taste in rock music, you’ll find it somewhere along Wazee and Blake streets. The bass starts pumping at 1:15 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Headliners are Chris Isaak and Lauren Dunn.
Performances are by Augustus, Austin Young Band, Busty and the Bass, Darling Revival, Dave Jordan, Guerilla FanFare Brass Band, Ingrid Andress, J & the Causeways, Lola Rising, Mary Louise Lee Band, Pimps of Joytime, Pine Leaf Boys, Railbenders, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Strange Americans, The Green House Band, The Noms, The Stone Foxes and Trevor Michael.
Stages are between 17th and 20th along Wazee and at 20th and Blake Street.
Other than the bands, there are family-friendly activities and more located throughout the area.
Numerous food trucks will be at the event. Anyone can buy directly from the trucks (cash and credit cards accepted).
A beer garden with Colorado craft beer and ciders will be open from 2:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
To purchase any kind of beverage at the event, you must purchase Drink Tickets. Drink Tickets are sold at the Information Booths near each stage. Drink tickets are $2 each. A bottle of water will run you 1 ticket, a soda 2 tickets and beer, wine and mixed drinks will cost 4 tickets.
Downtown Denver parking is available at any lot, or you can take public transportation, Uber, or Lyft to get downtown. Please be aware that this is a pedestrian-driven event, so many streets around the event will be shut down.
The Day of Rock is a fundraiser and celebration of the work of Amp the Cause, a Denver nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for other local organizations serving children and their families. If you feel inclined, you can donate during the event.
