This event has been canceled for 2022. Colorado has a strong Native American population. Typically, members of that community come together in celebration during the Denver American Indian Festival. This year the event is on Saturday & Sunday, September 24 & 25, 2022. This is a FREE, family-friendly, fun festival open to everyone. The Festival lets people share in and have a chance to learn about and appreciate the Native American culture through song, dance, arts, crafts, food and fun.
Entertainment includes dancers, drummers, singers and storytellers.
A Kids Zone allows youngsters to make Native American crafts to take home and older kids and adults can make and take more complex crafts in the Cultural Corner. A Raptor Show showcases birds and reptiles.
Vendors will sell all types of beautiful Native arts and crafts, varying from inexpensive to fine art.
Hungry? For a reasonable price you can get the best Indian Fry Bread and Indian Tacos, made by Navajos with authentic ingredients.
Hours both days are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Festival is staged at Riverdale Regional Park (Adams County Fairgrounds), 9755 Henderson Rd, Brighton.
