Connecting Communities — A Poudre River Trail Celebration is set for Saturday, June 13, 2026. This special event celebrates the Poudre River Trail as a paved, multi-use regional trail connecting Bellvue to Greeley. The day includes a ribbon-cutting at Timnath Community Park along the trail at 9 a.m., followed by a FREE community celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event recognizes the many partners, funders, and community members who helped bring this 50-year vision to life.
Celebration Highlights
- Dignitary remarks with the official ceremony at 9 a.m. at Timnath Community Park.
- Public Community Celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Poudre River Trail-related vendor and partner booths.
- Family-friendly activities, food trucks and yard games.
- Special opportunity to meet Wilder, an event spokes creature for GOCO’s Generation Wild.
- Signage and photo opportunities at Lions Open Space near Bellvue, and Island Grove in Greeley, plus celebratory markers along the trail.
Trail enthusiasts are encouraged to use the COTREX App at Trails.Colorado.gov, and search for “Poudre River Trail.”
