Brighton Hosts Art in the Park Festival on Sept. 7

More than 70 visual artists take the spotlight at Brighton’s Art in the Park on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Carmichael Park. The festival features an artist market, music and kids art activities. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 40 artists will show, sell and demonstrate their work in painting, photography, pottery, graphic arts, metal yard sculptures, jewelry, fused glass and more.

Entertainment will be provided throughout the event with demonstrations and interactive art activities for children and adults.

Cultural Stage Lineup:

Stage Images, modern dance, 10:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

Pan Jumbies, steel drum band, 10:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

Dancer’s Edge, variety dance, 11:45 a.m. – Noon

Stage Images, modern dance, Noon – 12:15 p.m.

Chicano Heat, Latin rock, 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Cultural Dance Productions, Mexican folkloric dance, 1:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Bright-N-Jazz, jazz orchestra, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Food trucks will be on site.

The festival is free to the public with plenty of free parking on the street and in the lots near the park.

The Park is at 650 E. Southern St., Brighton.
