Aurora’s Day Of Resilience Returns July 25 With Festival, 5K, Music & More

POSTED BY
Laura

Aurora’s 2026 Day of Resilience is Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Aurora Municipal Center. This powerful community event is organized by the 7/20 Foundation and honors those impacted by the Aurora Theater tragedy, while celebrating the power of community healing and resilience. The event brings together survivors, families, first responders, supporters and the community.

All activities are FREE and open to the public.

The morning begins with stretching and mindfulness yoga at 7:30 a.m.

At 8 a.m. the full Day of Resilience experience begins with DJ Sinna-G kicking off the 5th Annual “The Hero’s Journey” 5K Run/Walk led by survivor Zack Golditch. 5K participants who are 21 or older will receive a complimentary beer tasting wristband.

From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., enjoy live chalk artists, view the memorial sculpture, participate in yoga / healing art activities/wellness experiences or take a garden tour — all while enjoying live music, food, our signature beer fest, a dedicated sober space and a traditional lemonade stand honoring one of the youngest angels.

Founded in the aftermath of the 2012 mass shooting, the 7/20 Memorial Foundation supports survivors and advocates for communities affected by violence.
