Is your family fishing for a reason to get outdoors for some fun? Well, pack your fishing gear, sunscreen and snacks for a morning of family fun in Arvada. The city is hosting its 15th Annual Kids Fishing Contest on Saturday, June 11 from 7 a.m. to noon at Arvada Reservoir (18915 W. 64th Pkwy.) All ages 14 and younger are welcome to fish for FREE and compete for prizes.
The event is FREE and open to participating kids and their family only.
Gates open at 6:45 a.m. Fishing tournament starts at 7 a.m. Fishing ends at 11 a.m. (The reservoir will be closed to the public until 2 p.m.)
No boats or watercraft are allowed. All docks will be closed. Shore fishing only.
You must provide your own fishing pole, tackle and bait. No live aquatic bait allowed.
All reservoir rules must be followed.
The City of Arvada reserves the right to adjust/change ”Tournament Information and Rules” due to safety or weather-related conditions on day of the event.
Raffle prizes and trophies will be awarded immediately after the last fish is weighed.
All entries will be registered at the Weight and Measure Station — Length first, weight second.
Kids must be in line at the Weight and Measure station (with their catch) no later than 11:30 a.m.
