RSVP To Art-I-Fax Block Party; Get Free Drink

POSTED BY

Part celebration, part demonstration, all fun. That’s the formula for the self-described “Best Colfax Block Party” Art-I-Fax: Generations. The FREE street party temporarily closes Park Ave. and transforms it into a pop-up public plaza from Colfax to Humboldt streets on Saturday, September 8 from noon to 6 p.m.

Art-I-Fax embraces the gritty magic of Colfax — full of arts, activities, food and drink, and live entertainment. This year’s theme, Generations, celebrates both the history of Colfax as well as providing programming for all ages.

What kinds of things can you expect? Try food from various Colfax eateries, including The Goods and Spices Cafe. And, don’t miss the Voodoo Doughnut Cake Walk.

30 Miles of Crazy Comics’ Karl Christian Krumpholz and handmade cards from The Gathering Place will make a return appearance, while Historic Denver will give mini history tours. Enjoy live music from country darlings Chella & The Charm and dope Denver lyricist Connor Ray, plus a fashion show from Studio Colfax. You can even get your workout in with Green Door Fitness.

Kids can enjoy story time with some well-read drag queens, plus a special visit from Denver Public Library’s Wheelie the Book Bike.

Pets are welcome too; visit the Peaceful Touch Pet Salon and Massage paw painting station to make art out of your dog’s paw prints.

The first 500 people to RSVP here will receive a FREE drink courtesy of Argonaut Wine & Liquor.
