The city of Thornton’s Twist and Shout Summer Concert Series offers FREE family-friendly concerts on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For 2023, the city is adding to the fun with three Arts in the Parks events scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. before designated concerts. The series takes place from June 1 through July 27.
Four shows take place at the Harley Brown Amphitheater at Carpenter Park. The others are at McAllister Park Center, Fallbrook Farms Park, Woodglen-Brookshire Park and Riverdale Park.
Seating starts at 5 p.m. for Arts in the Park events, 6 p.m. for concerts. Bring your own blankets or chairs.
Food trucks will be on site for Arts in the Park or enjoy a bowl of free ice cream at one of the Ward sponsored Ice Cream Socials.

July 13: Juice O’ the Barley + Arts in the Park Event: Celtic Festival at Harley Brown Amphitheater
July 20: Groove ‘n Motion at Riverdale Park (Ward 3 Ice Cream Social)
July 27: The Radio Band at Fallbrook Farms Park (Ward 4 Ice Cream Social)
