Easter may be April 21, but several churches and recreation centers are hosting Easter Egg Hunts the weekend prior. That means young egg seekers can participate in multiple hunts this year, honing their egg finding skills to perfection. Friday, April 12
Crossing Church of the Nazarene Glow Fest, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and fun begins at 6:50 p.m. Evening builds to a glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg hunt with 3,000 eggs hidden throughout the church for kids ages 0-12. 3501 W. 104th Ave., Westminster.
Flashlight Egg Hunt at Northglenn Recreation Center, 7:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Youth ages 9 to 14 can search the recreation grounds for Easter eggs. Some eggs will have candy and others will have prizes! Check-in at 7:15 p.m. and the hunt starts at 8:15 p.m. Fun continues with a DJ, inflatables, and even more prizes in the gymnasium. Cost is $6 for residents, $7 for non-residents. Aurora Cultural Arts District Easter Egg Hunt, noon to 2 p.m. Hunt for candy filled eggs at various District locations including ACAD Galleries and Studios, Peak to Peak Brewery, Florence Square Apartments, Pasternack’s Pawn Shop, La Cueva Restaurant and the Martin Luther King Jr. Library. Some places will have a hunt, others will be handing out eggs. There will even be some ducks and a bunny to pet at 1400 Dallas St., Aurora.
Brighton Egg Dash, noon. Outdoor egg hunt begins at 12:15 p.m. Meet the Easter Bunny. Bring your basket and camera. Ages 3 to 10 years. Infant to 2 years hunt is weather permitting. Brighton Recreation Center, 555 N. 11th Ave., Brighton.
Brighton Spring Festival, noon to 4 p.m. Hop throughout Historic Downtown Brighton collecting candy and treats. Shop at the street fair from over 100 different businesses and vendors. Face painting, bounce house and food trucks. Tons of free kids activities. Bring your camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. Event starts at the corner of Bridge St. & Main St.
CHUN Egg Hunt, 9 a.m. to noon. Capitol Hill egg hunters gather at the Tears-McFarlane House parking area. Besides the hunt enjoy games, prizes, refreshments and the Easter Bunny. Children are organized by age. 1290 Williams St., Denver.
Colorado Christian University Easter Eggstravaganza, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Inflatables, pony rides, crafts, petting zoo, games, and an Easter egg hunt. 8787 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood.
Crossroads Church – Thornton Egg Hunt, 9:30 a.m & 11 a.m. Candy, door prizes and a blacklight show. 53 East 128th Ave, Thornton.

Kids Easter Egg Hunt & Pop Up Shop, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Event opens at 11 a.m. Hunt starts at 11:30 a.m. sharp! Held at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farm this FREE event features 1,500 candy-filled eggs, free photo op with the Easter Bunny, balloon animals, food truck, shopping, crafts and more. Stapleton Egg Scramble, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Festivities at Runway 35 Pool and Park area. Children will be released by age group to scramble across the field to collect Easter eggs.There will also be pictures with the Easter bunny, food trucks, event sponsors and more.
