For more than 50 years, a Christmas tree has graced the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol during the holiday season. This year’s tree was cut in Idaho’s Payette National Forest and is making its way to Washington D.C., with more than 25 stops along its 2000-mile expedition. You can see the tree up-close on Friday, November 18 in Denver at Bass Pro Shops from noon to 2 p.m. Local dignitaries will be on hand and expect a visit from Santa and his helpers. There will also be FREE Hot cocoa (welcome considering the weather forecast). 7970 Northfield Blvd., Denver.
