Park Meadows becomes the first major mall in the metro area to re-open both inside and out as of Sunday, May 24. Now both retailers with exterior entrances or in the open-air Vistas and those on the interior are welcome to resume operations with in-store shopping as they see fit. Mall hours are currently 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Here’s a list from the Park Meadows website of what’s open. You can click on each icon for more details. It was pretty thin on Sunday morning, so likely retailers are scrambling to get back into operation, and the list will grow quickly. We’ll try to post updates as they come in.
The Colorado Store
Crate & Barrel
Dick’s Sporting Goods
It’s Your Move
Pottery Barn Kids
While we don’t know which stores will open and when, shoppers can expect to find some great deals and retailers attempt to move merchandise that has been sitting on shelves since March.
A few shopping gurus claim the next few months will be like every day is Black Friday with big-time sales and offers.
To be honest, we’re not sure about the Food Court status. The website says it will be open with adjusted seating.
But, the application for reopening told the Colorado Department of Public Health that the Food Court would have all the seating removed. Food court tenants are encouraged to continue carryout and takeout service.
Valet parking services, stroller rental and kids play areas are closed.
New measures have been implemented to help ensure the health and safety for all who enter the Park Meadows mall, including hand-sanitizing stations, touch-free sinks and doors, frequent and intense cleanings and social distancing directions.
You should be prepared to wear a face covering as that is the current rule in Lone Tree, where Park Meadows is located. Visitors to the Mall on Sunday report that staffers were handing out masks to those who needed them and also were keeping people moving throughout the complex.
Of course, not all retailers will open immediately and only you can decide when you feel comfortable enough to head back into stores or the mall itself.
