Starbucks Rewards: Earn Gold Status With One Purchase

POSTED BY
Bryan

StarbucksThe changes are here! (We’re not happy either.) Starting today, Tuesday, April 12, Starbucks Rewards officially changes. Members now earn two stars for every $1 spent. We noticed a few more changes important to members. If you have any stars in your account, they will be multiplied by 11 to adjust to the new program levels. Remember, under the new program, you have to earn 125 stars for a FREE reward. (If it’s any benefit, Starbucks is giving members a slightly higher exchange rate, but not much.) In addition, rewards now expire 6 months after they’re earned. Previously, they expired in 5 weeks. (FYI – Birthday reward expires one day after your birthday.) We already miss the old program! BONUS: Through Monday, May 2, Green members will earn one year of Gold status with just one transaction. (If you already have Gold status, just one purchase will earn you another year of Gold status.) The promo requires that you pay with the Starbucks app or registered Starbucks Card. (It’s an amazing offer, given you have to earn 300 stars to achieve Gold status — the equivalent of spending $150!)
