If you’ve ever tried to print an online manufacturer’s coupon from a mobile device, you’ve undoubtedly been frustrated, like us. For nearly a decade now, you could only print online coupons from a desktop computer or laptop — mainly because you had to download software so the system could track and limit the number of coupons you could print. (The software was not compatible with mobile devices.) Thankfully, the times are a changin’! One of the largest sources of online manufacturer’s coupons, Coupons.com, is making major changes to its system, allowing for more accessibility.
In the coming months, they will introduce a new PrintID mobile phone-number based print system. The system allows bargain hunters to bypass the “old” required software download by entering a verification code sent by text. The change means you can now print coupons from most mobile devices.
Before you start salivating thinking you can print multiple coupons from different devices, you’re out of luck. There is still a limit — two coupons per mobile phone number regardless of the device you use. However, families with multiple smartphones (each with a different phone number) may be able to print a few extra coupons — at least, that’s how we read the fine print.
If you don’t own a smartphone, don’t fret. You can still print coupons the “old fashioned way” via a desktop computer or laptop.
