Ready for a night out on the town? WalkDenver is partnering with the Far East Center to host the Mid-Autumn Festival, an Asian night festival on Friday, September 13 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Far East Center at Federal and Alameda. The night market will showcase vendors serving up street food from around the world, such as Vietnamese, Thai and Indian. Satisfy your sweet tooth with local favorites like bubble tea, mochi and che.
The event will have plenty of activities for kids in a mini-park with a carnival theme. Have your face painted, get a custom-designed balloon, decorate your own lantern, make a wish on our wishing tree, learn origami folding, play balloon darts, throw rings in the bottle and play with jumbo games.
A kids fashion show (cultural attire) kicks off the event at 5 p.m. Plus, there will be live music, including performances by Vietnamese singers, hip hop battle, K-pop dancers, Lion Dance & drum show, traditional fan dances, and a kids’ fashion show with cultural attire.
Competitive types may want to enter the pho-eating or mooncake eating contests. You’ll also be able to check out the newest mural on South Federal by artist Chad Bolsinger.
If you are interested in attending, you’ll want to get tickets here. They’re FREE, but every attendee MUST present a ticket at the entrance. 333 S. Federal Blvd., Denver.
