MHOTC Code: 50% Off ‘The Barber of Seville’

POSTED BY
Laura

Boulder-OperaMaybe opera seems a bit much for the young ones, but Boulder Opera has taken a classic favorite and downsized it into a fun event for the entire family. Meet the scheming barber who plots with Count Almaviva to release the beautiful Rosina from her ward Doctor Bartolo in one of the most beloved and funniest operas of all time at the Nomad Theatre in Boulder. Experience Rossini’s The Barber of Seville with an ensemble orchestra led by Maestro Steven Aguiló-Arbues  and the talented singers of the Boulder Opera in an abridged one-hour version family-friendly version featuring musical highlights of the opera as well as narration to complete the story. Set changes take place with an open curtain, giving children an exclusive glimpse into how the magic happens on the opera stage. Performance dates with tickets include Thursday, December 10 at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 12 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, December 13 at noon. Tickets are normally $20 for adults and $15 for children, students & seniors. Go here and use promo code MILEHIGH to receive 50% off tickets. 1410 Quince Ave., Boulder.
