The EPIC (Empowering Patients for Individualized Care) Diabetes Conference on Saturday, March 4, 8 a.m. to 1:30 brings the diabetes community in Denver and the larger Rocky Mountain region together to discuss the best ways to take care of diabetes both physically and emotionally. It is open to people with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, family members, friends and caretakers. A “social circle” enables attendees can to with others in their community, and participants also have the opportunity to engage with world-renowned endocrinologists and diabetes specialists to learn more about improving their personal care. Workshops address these specific topics:

Entry to the conference, hosted by the Barbara Davis Center and the Children’s Diabetes Foundation, costs just $5. Registration fee must be completed online prior to arrival. Lunch, a light breakfast and snack are provided, and attendees get a complimentary $5 gift card, t-shirt and bag. They also have the opportunity to engage with vendors from medical companies and local brands. It takes place at the Marriott City Center, 1701 California St., Denver.
