The 28th Annual Valentine’s Day Mountaintop Matrimony wedding ceremony and reception at the Loveland ski area on Thursday, February 14 is a Colorado tradition now in its 28th year. Couples with Clear Creek County marriage licenses are legally joined in matrimony and already-married couples may renew their vows.
This mass wedding takes place outdoors at The Ptarmigan Roost Cabin (elevation 12,050 feet), located at the top of the Ptarmigan chairlift. The ceremony lasts approximately 30 minutes, followed by the Honeymooner’s Apres Party for all participants and their guests at the Loveland Basin day lodge, where music, wedding cake, spirits and even a best dressed contest continue the celebration.
Participating couples must pre-register online in order to receive the Marry Me Ski for Free 2-for-1 lift ticket special. And everyone involved must be able to ride the lift and ski or snowboard down. even if wearing tux and gown if the couple so chooses.
