Tiny homes — usually 500 square feet or less — are a growing trend in the U.S. Advocates like the pared-down lifestyle that is easy on the budget, from building or buying to maintaining. You might have seen the HGTV shows on the topic (“Tiny House, Big Living,” “Tiny House Hunters” or “Tiny House Builders“) and wondered whether this might be for you.
The Colorado Tiny House Festival can help you figure it out. The event features 20 or more tiny homes to poke around in, 10 or more vendors and knowledgeable speakers. The event takes place from Friday, July 28 through Sunday, July 30. Single day, $10 per adult, $5 per teenager (ages 13 to 27), 12 and under FREE.
Three-day passes are $20 per adult, $10 per teen. These tickets carry a small fee. Click here to buy advance tickets through July 27. Thereafter, buy at the gate and also get $10 off adult admission and $5 off kid’s entry to the Wild Animal Sanctuary, on whose grounds the festival takes place. 2999 Colorado Rd. 53, Keensburg.
